Background

John Johnson was born in Albany, the capital of New York in United States, an area with a high criminal rate. There was little question that Johnson would become a drug dealer when he got older and then a supplier.

Interactions

Originally appearing as a big supplier on the Islands, Johnson is more of a cut character than anything else, Tony Montana cannot talk to him in free roam without mods. He can only appear as a wrestler in Bloodsport under the name of Ziggy, but his fighting skill are nothing to brag about, which could explain why he spawns rarely even there.

Trivia

• John Johnson is voiced by the celebrity actor and former criminal himself, Ice Tea.
• Similarly to some other gangsters in the game, Johnson wears a religious necklace, although it appears to be out of decoration than any real religious affiliations.
• In one of his fighting quotes he yells out "Stonewall", which could be a reference to the first LGBT+ movement uprising in America, implying Johnson might be gay or bisexual.
  • Ice T's son in real life is homosexual, which could further explain the reference.
• Interestingly when fighting in Bloodsport he will either appear in a white-coloured outfit or a blue-coloured outfit with a white shirt. On the remastered version, he wears the outfit that can be seen on his Prima Guide infobox.
• He is one of the few drug supplier characters (specifically large supplier) that were removed from the game, along with Edgar Martinez.
