Scarface

O’Hara was an Irish mobster, and the original boss of the North Side Gang.

History[]

O’Hara led his own gang, which consisted of mostly Irish-Americans, and controlled the North Side of Chicago, running a large part of the liquor trade, and operating out of his flower shop. He also served as a mentor to Irish Mobster Tom Gaffney.

In the 1920s, Tony Camonte, a member of the rival South Side Gang, began muscling in on the North Side liquor trade. Shooting up one of their speakeasies. As payback, O’Hara had another member of the south side gang killed, and his body was thrown in front of their social club, with a note warning them to stay out of the north side.

However, Camonte sent his enforcer Guino Rinaldo after O’Hara, and he was killed at his flower shop.

Trivia[]

  • O’Hara is based off Dean O’Banion, the original leader of the North Side gang, and a rival of Al Capone, whom Camonte was based off of. O’Banion was also killed at his flower shop.
  • He is an unseen character, only being name dropped multiple times.
