The Ortega Cartel is a gang of Rastan gangsters in the game Scarface: The World Is Yours.

Description[]

They are based in the Islands, with a base located in Black Sands, the Barfly Hotel until Antonio Montana takes it over. Members of the gang can also be found in Sandman's leads as enemies the player may speak to and the player can never interact with them in free-roam. Most of them have dreadlocks and also have a Rastan or French accent, assuming they're from the nearby Dominican Island or more likely, Haiti. Several members also carry a chainsaw, presumably to kill Montana and their enemies in a more bloody and sadistic way.

They work together with the Bolivian Cartel to stop Montana.

Some members, despite being Montana's enemies, respect him when talked to and during combat.
If they spot Tony during a lead and he is fighting with Sosa's cartel, they will always help Sosa's men instead of Tony, meaning Sosa's army and Ortega are probably allies, or both cartels just hate him so much.
- However, this could also simply be just game mechanics.
Percy will appear as an ally in some of The Sandman's leads, meaning he would prefer Montana Cartel over the Bolivian Cartel, but he will still attack the player if hostile.
- He even needs to be defended in some missions.
Despite being made up of mostly Rastafarian gangsters, their leader appears to be Mexican, or otherwise Latin American. However, Manolo is never encountered in the game, nor can he be modded into it using the remastered project mod. This would imply that Manolo was never meant to be a character in the game.
